After a week filming in Kilgoris my buddy Steve and I headed to the Maasai Mara for a few days to photograph animals. We tracked a mother cheetah and cub for 4 days and were treated to some incredible moments - playing, hunting, and even a kill being stolen by a hyena.
After leaving the cheetahs one morning we came across 3 lions. We followed them for about an hour and were surprised when they headed directly for a river bank. All three stood there for a few minutes and the jumped in, swam across, and scaled a 20 foot cliff on the other side of the river. It was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen an animal do.
Of course, there are more than just big cats in Kenya. We cam across elephants, baboons, zebras, and a Marshall Eagle - Africa's biggest eagle with a 6 foot wing span!
