On Saturday a friend introduced me to the Fitzgerald Marine Preserve near Half Moon Bay. If you live in the area, it's well worth a visit. With a harbor seal rookery, and a lot of smaller animals in tide pools, the preserve is a great example of the abundance of wildlife along the Northern California coast. Above the preserve is a beautiful grove of trees. Many of the trees have already lost their leaves for the fall so I'll definitely be returning in the spring for images with more color!
