Okavango Elephants

Botswana-Chitabe-2014-246 A recent survey counted over 207,000 elephants in Botswana, giving it the world's largest elephant population. The more I learn about elephants, the more enchanted I became. They have the largest brains of any animal; older male elephants teach younger males "social rules"; elephants can communicate over 50 miles; they mourn their dead. These giants are much more than just a pair of tusks. It boggles my mind how they can be hunted. Just shameful and sad.
