PATTERNS

Art of the Natural World

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than they seek.”

— John Muir

Born in the stillness of the pandemic’s early days, this book traces a journey from a single rocky shoreline in Northern California to wild places across the globe, united by one pursuit: the quiet patterns hidden in nature. What began as evening walks along a beach evolved into a practice of looking deeper, discovering miniature mountain ranges in stones, mirrored textures in ice and desert, and echoes between the cellular and the cosmic. From Arctic ice caves to East African salt lakes, these photographs reveal the recurring geometries and rhythms that connect all things—the fingerprints left by wind, water, fire, and time. Part travelogue, part meditation, this book invites us to slow down and see the Earth anew: not just as scenery, but as story.
