My photo essay chronicling a day in the life of a young Maasai schoolgirl in Kilgoris, a small town in western Kenya, offered an intimate glimpse into the rhythms of childhood, education, and tradition on the edge of the savannah. This body of work was selected for exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society in London in 2010, where it was featured as part of the prestigious Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition—an honor that brought this personal narrative from rural East Africa to an international audience.
